Simple SMD JST XH mount for wiring LED strips from a Flex Module.

This board is part of Fyber Labs Flex Module project.

We are utilizing a generally available JST connector that supports multiple amps. We chose the 4 pin version as it will easily accommodate common 3 lead 5V RGB LED strips as well as the 4 pin versions. With some 4 pin strips this adds the ability to split and splice the strips in multiple directions using simple connectors. We will be discussing this further in the Dance Kit demo project.

0.7 had some weirdness with a randomly rendered extra via, but it has been fixed. I believe this will be the final version of this board.

  • Toasty

Our test reflow on the connector resulted in some toasty plastic.  We are still learning how to use our new reflow oven, so this should be solvable with a little experimentation.
