Active noise cancellation consists of measuring the ambient noise and generating an inverted waveform such that, when superimposed with the ambient noise, cancels out.

This project will use digital signal processing to isolate and invert the noise. A pair of microphones placed inside the ear cups will provide the feedback signal required in the project.

The main objectives of this project are:

-Create a small board that can be placed inside the ear cup of large headphones, or in the headband of the smaller models.
-Be able to cancel at least 20 db at 1 kHz
-Have a decent battery life: several days on standby and at least 4 hours while playing at a reasonable volume
