I'm a keen photographer and designer, have an M.Eng in P.D.E.
I mainly work in wood using traditional joinery.
Made this as a sort of combination of the workshop speaker and the radio rebuild, If you want to buy one let me know, I've made a few already :D
The previous incarnation of this speaker fell off the wall and exploded, so after some emergency surgery on the ancient driver I made a new case out of scraps.
Gutted a dead old radio and made it a simple battery powered amp/speaker.
Giant pair of speakers made entirely from reclaimed and recycled bits and bobs. Pallet wood, old ply from shelves, tweeters and cross over from a waterdaged pair of '70s speakers, bass drivers from a car. . . works way better than you'd think.
I build a bunch of these, managed to sell some. These blue ones were always my favorites and are my main speakers.
Some stuff arrived on a pallet at my old studio/workshop in Glasgow . . . so I turned th pallet into a speaker.
First version was made in about 15 minutes on a slow day in GSA using an extention ring and a piece of bicycle inner tube, it got stolen from a pub before I could get the film developed, the second version made in a similar way lasted longer.
