Give me your divine knowledge...please!

I'm new here, and I'm not sure how this works. So if I violate anything I apologize. I'm going to give some info that might be vague because I don't want to advertise that I'm altering something that might get me in any kind of legal trouble. If you require some more in depth details feel free to contact me. What I want to do is repurpose some old DJ equipment into some thing amazing and personal. Nothing will be for personal monetary gain. I'm a complete beginner in construction of electronics, but I'm a really fast learner, I've been djing for 17 years, all the way from vinyl, DVS, to midi controllers. I understand a fair amount about current digital DJ software and hardware. With that said, let us begin(famous last words)...

The equipment I have at my disposal to alter/combine/repurpose:

3 channel mixer with mic input and 7 band equalizer

2 channel mixer with mic input

A DVS system with mic input(other wise a sound card with 4 in 4 out)

A 2 channel USB midi controller with mic input and jog wheels(built in sound card that works with most current DIgital DJ software)

I have some other electronics I can scavenge for spare parts if needed, but I'm not going to list them now. The key thing is that I am Disabled. So if you want to give ideas, teach, contribute, anything I can give you oodles of time but some days I might be to ill to work , and I have no disposable income to purchase more parts or things. Please, I want to create a digital monster to help express the music I have inside of me. The chances of me ever being able to afford equipment that is current are nil.
