This project demonstrated the use of SDM fingers, a type of actuator documented by the Soft Robotics Toolkit. Information on this project can be found here: www.instructables.com/id/Simple-Robotic-Gripper
This idea came out of a contest on Youmagine to develop a new 3D printing process. I was a winner of this project, and as a result was able to develop the idea further. It works by printing one part of a 1A:1B silicone mix into the other.
As soft robotics becomes more advanced and complex, control systems for them need to scale equally. My solution to that is the Soft Robotics Electronics Module.
