Week 9: 4/1/2015 - 9pm PDT 4/8/2015

Some of CERN's experiments take place in the miles of tunnels around their labs in Meyrin, on the border of France and Switzerland. It looks like this image was taken in one of those tunnels. It's definitely an interesting shot! CERN's documentation for the image has been to history, so it's up to you to explain what's going on here!

Link to the original CERN image.

Add your humorous caption as a comment to this project log. Make sure you're commenting on this project log, not on the project itself.

As always, if you actually have information about the image or the people in it, let CERN know on the original image discussion page.

Good Luck!

Determined to prove Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity wrong, Jerry strolls counter-clockwise around the ring with only his M-brane stove pipe as protection against paradoxes.

Cave Johnson on one of his rare trips to the testing facilities. Next to Mr. Johnson is a prototype of the conversion-gel conveyer tubes or CGC tubes for short. Moments after this picture were taken, Mr. Johnson stepped in a pool of spilled gel and slipped. He never went back to the tunnel after that.

...And here we have Larry, who keeps the internet tubes clean with his isoleten Bon machine.  If it wern't for the hard work of Larry and the other Internet workers the tubes would become catastrophicly plugged in a matter of days.

As they looked at the bright orange glow in horror, their last thoughts were of their families and that they probably shouldn't have used a lava tube as part of their accelerator.

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. His name was Boson Baggins and he had a great fondness for pipe weed and protons.
