Thanks for following my #Arduino K(V)M Switch project - it is currently on the backburner but I am hoping to return to it once i have a few more projects finished.
I see you're a bass player - I play trombone! :)
I'm new to hackaday.io but the 57 in my username is significant [;-)], so I'm obviously not new to computers. Remember acoustic modems, teletypes, and punched cards? I have been looking for a commercial K•!V•M switch to control multiple PCs. The "V" part is too much of a problem in this age of 4K video from different formats. I want to retarget what you are doing with an Arduino and 4 bare AVG chips with hardwired USB cables, to work like IOGEAR. I think the whole thing should cost about $50 in parts. Hope you get more practice than me, I'm afraid I like to play more than any of my family or friends, and the bass isn't exactly a solo instrument. Oh well. Keep on hacking!
