This Hack Chat is at noon Pacific time on Friday, April 13th.

Time Zones got you down? Here's a handy count down timer!

From MQTT.org: MQTT is a machine-to-machine (M2M)/"Internet of Things" connectivity protocol. It is useful for connections with remote locations where a small code footprint is required and/or network bandwidth is at a premium. It is ideal for mobile applications because of its small size, low power usage, minimized data packets, and efficient distribution of information to one or many receivers.

In this chat, we'll follow along with an MQTT tutorial to understand and get MQTT protocol working together.

We started a little early! Following tutorials here:

MINIMAL MQTT: BUILDING A BROKER
MINIMAL MQTT: NETWORKED NODES
MINIMAL MQTT: CONTROL AND CLIENTS
MINIMAL MQTT: POWER AND PRIVACY
