Hackathon practice - I challenged myself to build a DC variable speed fan as fast as I could. Fan from USB laptop cooler. Quick measurements to start 3d print of mount. Slide pot to adjust 555 duty cycle. Output to enhancement MOSFET to fan.
Hackathon practice - I challenged myself to build an AC variable speed fan as fast as I could. A triac, a salvaged microwave fan, and some brackets led to this. It is so powerful, it pushes itself back when running at full power.
At my internship, a customer returned some broken solar panels which were going to be thrown away, so I took them instead, thinking they would make an excellent coffee table
