Usagi Electric (David)

I have an unhealthy obsession with vacuum tubes, but I'm terrified of high voltages. Low voltage tubes it is then!

Things I've Built

Breadboard Vacuum Tube Full Adder

I build a lot of projects on breadboards, but this was my most recent. It's a full adder using four 6DJ8 dual triodes. It looks like chaos, but it works rather well!

Vacuum Tube SR Flip Flop Display Piece

Once I figured out how to build a proper flip flop with tubes, I really wanted to build a display piece that could sit on my desk. This was the result.

4-Bit Hexadecimal Relay Calculator

Taking what I learned in the 10-bit calculator, I wanted to make something with a bit more readable display as well as test out building the individual components of the calculator on removable cards.

10-bit Binary Relay Calculator

This is a calculator that adds or subtracts to 10-bit binary numbers and is made out of just relays, capacitors and resistors.
