Thanks for the skull! I really wanted to have humanity reach type 1 during my lifetime... Unfortunately it is not technology that limits us, but the mindset! However we might be able to trick humanity into a type 1 civilization using technology. For instance in a similar way that economics sort of made us cooperate to be able to build complex societies (but still fragmented in at a planetary level). Who knows, maybe your project might be a way to achieve it... Good luck!

Thanks for the skullery, you maid my day. Sorry. I like the direction of your project. I became interested in the Japanese method of using CO2 blown through sand to form blocks. I think it would be interesting to construct a robot to use the same principles as Filippo Brunelleschi to build the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence using these insta-block materials. You could weave domes of unlimited size with no scaffolding or support structures. I think the Mars One mission should really concentrate on that. Imagine giant, ready-made pressure domes on Mars that look like cathedrals, that would make people take notice.
