I've taken neon to a whole new level by sculpting the glass itself and using a single electrode transformer (plasma globe) to fill it with plasma. The colors are achieved using different phosphors that react to the UV light inside the tube.
TikiTron is a tiki cocktail robot. You make a sacrifice by dropping a tiki idol into the volcano, which then makes your cocktail.
I've built a few water fountains on fire. The most public one was Egeria, which was the Keyhole piece for Burning Man 2002, and 3:00 plaza piece for 2003.
