Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) and Proximity Sensor (PS) Integrated Circuits
My career has mostly been designing and testing ALS and PS sensors. The ALS detects the amount of ambient light, and the PS detects the distance to an object. These can be found in any new smart phone, usually near the top of the screen.
Demo Board for Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) and Proximity Sensoror (PS) devices
I created a demo board using an Arduino Microcontroller, an LCD screen, and a rotary encoder for input. The board lets you evaluate any of my company's ALS or PS devices.
