Hi Ted! The body of the anemones are made of magnets, magnet wire and magnetite. Here's some video of it moving: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9tH2-1kkvc It's kind of subtle, but if you look close, the magnetite spines move up and down. The magnet wire coils are being driven by a small analog neural net.

Cool, I see them moving.  It's a nice way to animate something that would otherwise be very difficult.
