Z80 assembler ON TI Calculator?

search-fu is failing me...

I've just found a TI-86 at Goodwill for $5!

It occurs to me this is basically a vintage z80 compy in a strange form-factor... Maybe perfect for geting my vintage-compy fix.

So, this guy can run compiled programs, just like any z80 compy can... right? BUT, it seems the only assembler is TI's custom jobby that is made to run on a Windows PC....

Wherein I wonder... Has anyone seen or made an assembler that can run /on/ such a calculator?

---update for anyone else who may be curious about such an endeavor: ticalc.org as mentioned in the comments, is a great starting point.

I've also got some ramblings which may be helpful over at https://hackaday.io/project/179772-vintage-z80-palmtop-compy-hackery/discussion-163049
