Programming is terrible

There's this video that I like. It's interesting to listen to what this guy has to say. There are three or so cuss words in the presentation, but apart from that, it's an interesting presentation.

"After ten years in the industry, I'm surprised that things actually do work". = I could not agree more.

I understand what you say and I agree with you. At the time of publishing this post (5 years ago) my coding career was coming to its end.

After a few years of quitting programming as a job, I started again to enjoy it as a hobby and found myself a more suitable job.

I found that working as a programmer, the bugs and programming related problems are much less frustrating than some other aspects of work that are indirectly connected to the job, and were beyond my control.

Also, I had desktop programming in mind when I posted this post in 2015.

Since I started the project that was on my mind all the time. It's like a miracle that we are writing some text using keyboard and displaying characters and pressing enter so that you can see what I've written in the other part of the world. Multithreding CPUs.. Milions of transistors in a small box all doing what they must do all at the right moment.

Haven't watched the whole thing, but I agree whole-heartedly about that quote. I had that exact discussion with a friend a while back. Not just code, but electronics, semiconductors, and everything else...
