I need advice from people who are there or have been there, what to do, am an electronics engineer, trying my hand at different things, might make a product in near future and need to form relations and links with the people in the Shenzhen area.
So, if I get a brief stay in Shenzhen later this month for about 10-15 days,
What to do, Who to meet and Where to go?

It's a little bit of cliche but Seed's "Shenzhen Map for Makers" is surprisingly useful: http://www.seeedstudio.com/document/pdf/Shenzhen Map for Makers.pdf (you can get it anywhere and it's a great help with taxi drivers!)

Hua Qian Bei is already on my list, am also thinking of contacting DangerousPrototype, Seeed Studio, HAX, DFRobot, MakeBlock - I think they are all in Shenzhen, but I dont have their emails, except for the generic contact emails on the site, where I will send an email once the VISA is confirmed.

It´s a MUST to visit "hua qiang bei". It´s a cluster of high buildings packed full with electronic components providers. You can get basically everything for a dream price.
They got components as well as modules, tools and mechanical stuff like steppers and CNC parts. They got everything - it´s a paradise. And there is an amusement park and some nice appartments nearby. You can rent an appartment nearby for the same price as a hotel but it´s much bigger and nicer. Big supermarkets, food supply are everywhere.
Best public WC are in hotels - but go to 2nd floor or higher, usually the first floor toilet is crap while the other ones can be very luxury.
There´s also a hackerspace in Shenzhen, but I didn´t manage to visit it yet.
