@Sophi Kravitz

There is a discrepancy between the emailed "howto" and
the official rules by digikey:

Le 2016-08-12 23:57, Sophi Kravitz a écrit :
> WIN $100 IN PARTS THIS WEEK FROM DIGI-KEY [1]
> If you've entered the 2016 Hackaday Prize, you can win $100 from
> Digi-Key. It's two super easy steps, here's how:
> 1. Pick a product that's < $100 from Digi-Key [2]
> 2. Tweet a link to the product, the link to your Hackaday Prize
> project and tag #DigiPrize
> 3. Win! Digi-key picks one winner per week at random

Step 2 is not mentioned by Digikey, see
http://www.digikey.com/en/resources/social/digi-prize
Which is not really a problem: I don't (want to) use twitter.

Any clarification from @Digi-Key Electronics ?

Also, it shouldn't be "win $100 in PARTS", but in PART, since you get one part.

Hi Yann - You do not have to tweet a link, however there is an option to send out a tweet after you have submitted your entry.  I hope that this helps clarify.  Please let us know if you have any questions :)

Many thanks for the sensors! It's another small step for my robot but (hopefully becomes) a giant leap for robotics. You can drive my robots at:

I will leave another comment as soon as the test run of R5 with the installed part takes place.

Rules say "Only one entry per person per day", can we enter the same project everyday for more chances to win, or is it one project only per person?

Digi-Key Electronics wrote 08/02/2016 at 14:14 point

Hello Mark - Absolutely you can enter each day.  You can either enter the same project each day or you can enter a different one daily.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Can you clarify the following for the registration?  The rules actually do not cover these.
Is it a digikey part# for something that the project used or a part# for the prize?
Does the project needs to be in the 2016 contest?

Are you sure? yes | no

Digi-Key Electronics wrote 06/27/2016 at 19:02 point

Hello KC - Thank you for the great feedback - we will work on expanding the rules section to clarify.  Yes your project will need to be in the 2016 contest. Then you can pick an in-stock Digi-Key part# and then visit the link above to register your project and part.  Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help in any way.

Edit:  We will announce each weeks winner on the following Monday at 2:00 pm CDT

K.C. Lee wrote 06/27/2016 at 19:07 point

I am waiting for the answer to the part# question.  Which one is it referring to?  a or b?

a) a part# that is used in the project
b) a part# that I want as a prize

Logically, it should be (a), but (b) might make some sense too.
A single prize is not as useful as a $100 worth of credits towards an order for a bunch of smaller parts.

Digi-Key Electronics wrote 06/27/2016 at 19:10 point

My apologies, it is a part# that you will be using in your project.  I can check into the other and get back to you asap
