Best 3D model render animate for simulating a ard delta printer
Hacker404 wrote 12/20/2016 at 09:58 • 0 pointsHi all,
I want to simulate an arc (radial) delta printer in software so that I can work out optimum dimensions etc.
It would also be great if I could use the software later to design 3D prints but it's the design of the printer that is most important now.
I haven't used software like this before so I want something simple and free.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Fusion 360 is a industry-grade CAD package that will work. You can connect components (using joints) so that they are realistically constrained, and you could even animate them moving, by hand or using Python.
Exports for 3D printing work great, too.
The learning curve is steep, but ALL industry software works in a similar fashion, so it's a really good time investment. Having that knowledge will make every mechanical thing you ever make will be much easier.
