Free WiFi locating service?

Is there any free service to which I can feed the available WiFis (such as from an ESP8266) and which can tell me where I am, approximately?

There are services locating IP address. So if you manage to log on a Wi-Fi, and access Internet then you can ask where you are to one of those services.
For example: http://ipinfo.io/
