Clip?
ActualDragon wrote 05/30/2017 at 10:53 • 0 pointsi finished the #Air Compressed Nerf Gun base model, and you have to muzzeload it. Plus, when you tilt the gun down, the bullet falls out. I have some big clips, and i think that would solve both my problems. Any ideas on attaching it to the pvc pipe?

What about building something like a break-open shot gun. Have a short, bit bigger, cut into half tube in which the barrel rests in. You might get away even without a proper hinge with just rings of intermediate size glued to both the barrel and the bigger tube to avoid the barrel sliding forward and then putting a rubber band at the end of the outer tube to allow the barrel pivoting up at the loading end. You might be able to use cut open segments of the two tube sizes for the rings and bend them bigger/smaller by putting them round the barrel/into the outer tube.
Sealing things up can be a bit tricky but you can just have a smooth wall behind the barrel (with a small hole for the air to come through) and then glue some foam around the barrel to seal things up.
Reducing the diameter of the chamber should be easy by just glueing in some paper or foil - or by bending the chamber end of the barrel into a slightly oval shape.
