First I just want to warn you guys I'm a complete noob when it comes to hardware hacking aside form a couple basic arduino projects, So I appologize if the answer is obvious I would just rather be safe than sorry.

I've been looking to but one of the old podgizmo or podbreakout board for a while now. It seems they stopped making them or something because no site has them in stock.

Earlier I came across this and it seems to be the closest thing to the original podbreakout.

If it is would I then just need to connect it to a ft232rl board?

Here is a tutorial for reference.
