Go Fund Me on my projects ?
Dr. Cockroach wrote 10/09/2017 at 12:43 • 2 pointsI want to know if it is OK with the HaD folks if I add a link to GoFundMe on my projects and profile. A few of you all know that my car was wrecked last week and the powers that be are dragging their heals in working with me. Fault wise I am in the right but that does not help..
Thank you :-)

Great news. I was donated a 2000 Grand Prix. It drives but still needs some repairs asap and it meets my needs :-) The funds donated so far have taken care of the cost of the paperwork and tag. Thanks to everyone involved :-)

Did you call your insurance company? I'd been in a similar situation before, and my insurer was helpful in getting the other company to pay out.

Well... My insurance has been trying to get information from the other but so far nothing back to me. The other "driver" has a court date on Nov 1st and I think their company is waiting for that outcome. The NC Hwy patrol is siding with me on this at least. The report has the wrong person listed as driver ( I had contacted the Trooper and let him know of the error ) and the car had dealer plates which is a no-no for personal use. There are a lot issues with this so I am just trying to stay calm for the most part :-)

since you already have made a stack page, why not add the link here as a comment as well ;)

I think we have some "inventors" and astrologists in here that didn't even bother to ask, just put their account number in there, and nobody is saying one bad word to them. So I think you should be perfectly fine. I also put links to my shop at Tindie on my project pages, and people seem to not mind at all. Whether it will be effective is a completely different matter.

It would be in bad taste for HaD and SupplyFrame to kick out links to crowdfunding and storefronts with all the encouragement they give to putting .io projects up on Tindie.
As far as I can tell, the mods don't care as long as there's substance to a project. I don't think there's a hard and fast rule, but usually it's obvious if a project is here for SEO or to drive traffic elsewhere.
