At first RPi Pico W's were just hanging from USB chargers.  I got some more Pico enclosures, small boxes and short USB cables to make things a little more presentable.

Keeping the USB charger solves any UL problems not that I need to go for a listing, but just safety keeps all the high voltage stuff contained.  I kept temp sensors outside the Pi enclosure, and even then I had to add more headers to seperate the sensor from the Pico which was heating up the sensor.  

The PIR motion sensor would fit inside the box with the Pico, but was too sensitive to the Pico wiggling IOs or worse WiFI so they had to be seperated.

So here are some of the resulting boxes.  Some double sticky taped to there charger, some on velcro so I could do an occasional update to software.

Earlier a temp sensor board was build for the LM71 or MCP9800.  At the time I was thinking of using BLE for sensors so the board was designed for Seeedstudio or Picos.  But trying to do BLE and WiFi on the Pico 2W simultaneously was not going well.  So either I would need an MQTT or a seperate relay. Instead now all is WiFi which also handles the distance problems.   That temp sense board below.
