I have followed these instructions and managed to boot up onto a sdcard and successfully ch-rooted into ubuntu.img by mounting the sdcard.
with this commad via adb
This mounts the sdcard where I can boot up into the distro.
mount -t vfat /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 /sdcard
I also used these commands and the touch screen simply flashes
startx -- tty01 -sharevts -novtswitch
while true; do echo 1 > /sys/class/graphics/fb0/epd_refresh; sleep 2; done & xterm
I am running a Linux distro that is not ontop of the android system. I can get the screen to flash while on nookmanager, but I just can't figure out a way to display x11 on the screen. I even downloaded the driver through apt-cache. Its a little difficult. I'm certain something can be produced.
I intend in creating a custom script that will do this so that I can boot up anytime into a variety of linux distros on the sdcard
NOTE: I prefer to use the root user
root@localhost:~# startx
Fatal server error: Can't read lock file /tmp/.X0-lock
