Lack of message count on tab

I have been missing message alerts these past few days. When I use multiple tabs, any message count has shown up in the HaD tab but not doing that now. I also have noticed that the text that I am typing now and end up sending will again be displayed in the typing box some time later even after the message might have been responded to.

Odd stuff folks ;-)
