At BVBA DPTechnics we are looking at a fulltime (38h/week) embedded software developer who is passionate about networking, C and Linux.
We develop internet connected products for our clients from idea on paper to finished product and everything in between. The company has in-house expertise on hardware design, microcontroller firmware, embedded Linux (especially OpenWRT), scalable cloud software and UX/UI design.
As an embedded developer you will be part of a young and dynamic team. Your job will mostly exist out of the following tasks:
- Developing embedded software on OpenWRT Linux: HTTP API's, interfacing with hardware, websockets, talking I2C, SPI, Modbus, CAN-bus, ... Saving data into SQLite, ...
- Implementing protocol libraries or improving them (MQTT, AMQP, ...)
- Build some Proof-of-Concept microcontroller software (STM32, ESP32, nRF52xx)
- Extend existing software with new features or applying approvements.
We require the following skillset:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Very good knowledge of the C language (Pointers hold no secrets, you rather talk to registers instead of your mother in law, a union of structs is nothting special, ...)
- Good knowledge of Linux
- Experience with low memory computers is a plus
- You know your nibbles, bytes, shifts and logical operations.
- You have knowledge about common network protocols such as TCP, UDP, SNMP, MQTT, SSH, ...
- Have knowledge about SPI, I2C, UART, CAN-bus is a plus
