yes its about that project. Thanks for the answer gerben, black should be much better. I think ill paint it black with spray.
Simon i was thinking at reflecting sun with multiple mirrors into one point. And how much would double mirrors increase the temperature.

I think you should at least paint the foil black, so the sunlight gets absorbed, and no reflected.
You could try paint, or charring it by holding it over a candle. The latter might be less heavy.

what is latter? The second might be less heavy? Char is ultra light. The foil is very heavy but i need something to make a chamber.

'latter' is last suggestion, so it referred to the charring. In English they use the terms 'former' and 'latter' to refer to the 'first' and the 'last' in the previous sentence.
Does the chamber really need to be made from aluminum foil? It has to withstand some heat, but even paper requires more that 200 deg. Celsius to burn.
I was thinking of maybe those mylar blankets. Use that material, over a wooden skewer frame. That would be pretty light weight, I think.
EDIT: can't you just heat the lantern itself, an remove the chamber entirely? Maybe only add a tiny bit of weight, so it's stable.

Yeah i had the same idea reading. didnt know paper needs 200. This would be more than enough. And the wax paper is not reflective too. The aluminium foil weighs about the same as the whole baloon. This is excellent. i Had the same idea about loosing the chimney but didnt know the paper can whitstand 200. Thanks a lot.

Can you please expand your question? It's hard to know what kind of answer you want. Are you planning to make a group of heliostats? And, if so, why would you expect multiple heliostats to increase the temperature (because my understanding of a heliostat is something that points something else towards the sun, so if one heliostat is working, adding a second one seems like it would do little to improve the irradiation of the things that are being pointed). What is the thing you would like to raise in temperature?

Gotcha. Replied on his project comments.
