read road surface

Such as bumps, curbs, driveway ramps etc. using Proximity sensors and an Adrino type computer. I am considering designing an automotive pneumatic/hydraulic front suspension, that would react quickly to the above irregularities and raise up the car body sufficiently to avoid body contact with the road surface.

Technically you could just use magnetorheologocal dampers and not have to worry about forward mapping.

VL53L0 for range and PWM3902 for velocity, something like the CrazyFlie Flow board would do this.

I can't find anything named PWM3902. I checked digikey, mouser, and duckduckgo only showed this page.

This should be either PMW3901 (older version) or PAW3902 (newer, smaller version). These are velocity sensors made by PixArt. VL53L0 is a time-of-flight ranging sensor made by ST, probably more suitable for surface "mapping" applications. These are both available as breakout boards on Tindie for testing.
