Step 1: Design the Circuit
I drawn the circuit in PSpice simulation software student edition:
The diodes are used to protect the bipolar junction transistors (BJTs).
Step 2: Simulations
PSpice simulations show that the maximum current is very high:
The output current is over 222 mA.
Step 3: Make the Circuit
I made the circuit with the use of the soldering iron by twisting the legs of the components with pliers:

Step 4: Encasement
I used a parcel box, blue tack and masking tape. Blue tack was used to attach the matrix board and transistors the inside of the box.
Step 5: Testing
My circuit allows speed control and direction control of the motor.
