I'm very happy with how this turned out. I love this as an art medium. This blend of fine art and technology is very romantic to me.

Happy to consider commissions and suggestions for future pieces. If it can be represented as a bitmap, it can be rendered as a PCB Painting! Please comment below with your thoughts.

We are trying to figure out what direction to take this blend of technology and art -- should we offer pieces for sale, or offer a service for making your own pieces from your own artwork, for instance. Rocking the @oshpark purples...

Larger 4 inch by 6 inch #PCBPainting by @David I. Herman came out better than we expected! Inspired by Alphonse Mucha's style of Art Nouveau era art and design.

@David I. Herman made a video of the process he uses for creating the designs he has made for our PCB painting endeavors.

This is how it has come out so far:

I developed a process to convert color bitmap image files (PNG, PSD, etc) to files suitable for PCB manufacturers. David "Doz" Herman designed a number of pieces to see how various effects work, and I think there are some interesting possibilities.

These are all 2x2 squares, but anything that can be produced at a normal PCB manufacturer is possible. These were made at @oshpark and came out exactly as expected.
