@kristina panos are you going to put your keyboard build on here as a project? After reading your ergodox article yesterday I looked at the piece of rubbish that came with my lenovo desktop, the other 3 computers I need to regularly swap keyboard and mice between and decided my solution was to build a custom keyboard with a wireless KVM (without the V) switch system. Hoping to share the pain by following along with yours, purely for motivation. It's not as if I haven't got a hundred other unfinished projects but I love this creative form of procrastination where you build something before building the thing you were really supposed to be building!
