Arduino Backpack for Nokia 5110 Display

Arduino-nano-compatible backpack that fits the back of the Nokia 5110 LCD display

Similar projects worth following
This is still work in progress, but where I want to get is: make a fully functional Arduino-compatible board that fits (and drives) a Nokia 5110 LCD display. The target application is data acquisition systems, where (ideally) one connects analog signals to Arduino, that are then shown in the display.
  • 1 × ATMEGA328P-AU
  • 1 × LCD Display (84x84 pixels) Nokia 5110 LCD display breakout board

Nice! I suggest you to put two holes at the opposite side of the display header to help it to get firmly attached to the display board. Another option is a dummy header so the display can be held by two headers.

Since the board is intended to data acquisition, why not put a microSD card holder on the board as well as two buttons ?

A third suggestion is to put a 3V3 regulator which can be connected straightly to the display as well as the SD card without resistors or voltage adapters.

Nice project there! I'm working at a very similar idea, but without keeping the nanos footprint (I want to use a Inch² board because that's quite cheap). Like you I want to use the board mainly for datalogging purposes. Looking forward to your progress. PCB looks great already!
