Typhoon is a second generation sumo robot I have built for the recent, 2014 IEEE sumo robot competition at my university. It weighs 20lbs and can push heavy objects. Though sumo robots are usually equpped with magnets to increase their pushing force on metallic Dohyos, this specific competition uses wooden Dohyo so alternative methods were investigated. Therefore, Typhoon uses an 90mm EDF thruster to provide extra pushing force.
