Omni Mic is a digital audio directional tracker. Its meant to be the "ears" for a robot or robot like digital system. Omni Mic will be able to detect the direction of a sound and how far way it is. The hardware will consist of a Teensy 3.5 as the controller/DSP , an array of digital condenser microphones, and a small power supply section to allow USB power, battery power, or bus voltage feed.

While the electret microphone is indeed a type of condenser microphone, it is certainly not what most people think of when they hear "condenser microphone" (that being a plain parallel-plate capacitor with an external circuit to drive it and detect minute changes in capacitance).
