We are developing an assistive exoskeleton for people with limb disorders. The idea is to develop a strap-on system for disabled users; which will help the user move around or help them to train the limbs. The exo will be controlled by measuring muscle activity by detecting its electric potential, referred to as electromyography (EMG), which has traditionally been used for medical research. The user does not need to use any pre fed commands or move in a restricted manner to use this exo.

The exo simply enhances the muscle power of the user using high torque motors and helps enhance the 'walk' of the user. A minimal battery will be used which can last for 3-4 hours. The control will be semi autonomous; initiated by the user and taken over by the machine.
