HelpingHand Donation and Payment System

Allows people to donate to the Homeless and Charities with their Phone. Goods and Services can be redeemed at Stores and Service Providers.

Though many people are willing to donate cash to the homeless and charities, some people refrain from the former as they believe donations may be spent on liquor, smokes or other vices. This has the unintended consequence of punishing those most deserving. Other people are willing to donate to the homeless and charities but no longer carry cash.

Our system allows donations to be made via a cost-effective NFC based tag (that Homeless and Charities are provided with) and NFC Technology on phones (with complementary QR Code for Phones without NFC).

Donations to the homeless can be apportioned towards food, shelter services, mental health services, other healthcare services and legal services. Homeless people can also request that donations be preferenced towards food or the other services listed.

The Helping Hand app provides the functionality to those donating; alongside a web-app for those phones that only support web browsers.

It's great to hear the Perth meetup went so well. This concept has a ton of potential. Awesome!
