I built this in early 2015 for my sisters' graduations. I've been meaning to post it for a while; when I saw a similar project on the front page a few days ago, I though I might as well get around to it.

Specs:
32x32 RGB LED matrix with 6 bits per channel color
Displays scrolling text with multiple size, color, and repeat options
Several built-in programmatic anmations
72MHz Cortex M3 CPU (LPC1549)
ESP8266 WiFi w/ webapp for control
6000mAh LiPo battery with charger and buck/boost power supply
3-8hr battery life, depending on usage
64MB flash for image storage
