I built this little LED light table for taking photos of electronic projects on a white background without shadows. Just a small amount of lighting on the surface under the part usually kills any shadow (when used inside a light tent), so the photo looks great when placed on a website with a white background. The electronics features a linear LED current control, so there's no PWM flicker when the camera uses fast shutter times.
Notice the PCB colors? These are from the very early days of Laen's DorkbotPDX group PCB order, before the boards were purple and it became OSH Park.
