An easy, cheap and open source way to add IoT to a light switch.

Its been a little while since I last updated. A levels and sixth for life has kind of taken over at the minute, lots of work to do, but I still found the time to solder up the rest of the prototype.

Having a few problems at the minute though, the ESP8266 I bought might be busted... or maybe my PCB design was bad. I'll tinker around with it a bit more and see whats up with it. So until the next log, David out.

Still working on it; just very, very slowly.  I managed to finish the prototype as you can see, but I did not work, I think I must have made a mistake with the PCB , all pins were @ 5V, which I think killed the ESP8266.  I'm gonna order in some breadboard-compatible parts and try to get some work done before Christmas.  A levels have been keeping me busy at the moment.

No, I have had troubles with getting the module I ordered to work, there may be a fault in my PCB design and I haven't been able to dedicate enough time to it currently as I have been busy with my A levels - I will get round to making some progress, but at the minute the project is on a hiatus whilst I get "life stuff" out of the way.
