Waste to Energy

Feed the monster waste and get electricity.

Gasification of waste generates useful gas. This is then fed to a sterling engine that then generates electricity and charges up batteries. Free juice for all. Its been done many times before but what makes this special is the feed stock.

Consumable product moves down the throat where partial combustion takes place in a fire grate. Some combustion provides the heat while the unburnt gas products are whisked away to do thine infernal bidding. The partial burning takes place in an oxygen deprived atmosphere.

  • Where its at.

The body of the unit is made. The hopper nears completion. The outlet section requires plumbing in to a non existent gas cleanup system. From here we need the burner, fed by pressurized syngas, providing power to the sterling engine that charges batteries. Some micro controller can monitor the whole system and assure that feed stock does not run dry.

You're off to a great start with this idea - Thanks for entering The Hackaday Prize! Try to give us some more information on your Gasification system. what is this magic feedstock of which you speak? (and where is the monster?)
