This was an undergrad research projects analyzing small mammal skulls (Fishers). The project involved a pair a digital cameras to collect 3D coordinate data on the skulls and use that data in some morphometric analysis. The goal was to see if different sexes or age groups had different skull shapes. After images were collected, I had to hand place each landmark on the image file and run it through some program R applications to extract the 3D coordinates. We wrote some code in R with automated the data sorting and analyzing. I mostly enjoyed the camera set up and data collection.
