Used a kids glow-in-the-dark solar system toy to make a rotating nightlight. Used PWM to control the motor speed and a pulley to reduce sound. Originally used a worm gear for speed reduction, but the gears created too much noise. 3D printed bearing mount for thru-wiring for the LED light fixture. Central 'Sun' has star shaped cut-outs to project a star field onto the room's walls. Runs on 6V, 550 mA.

Nifty! I like it that you showcase the electro-mechanicals in a clear box with a great looking base. It wouldn't be the same if that stuff were hidden away in an opaque box.
