The control board is powered by an ESP8266 running an arduino core. 

The app controls the carousel speed, LED brightness (strobe duration) and colour since the LEDs are RGB.

The motor spins at any speed up to 100RPM which corresponds to a strobe rate of 33FPS. The strobes are timed by the ESP8266 microcontroller reading the encoder signal from the motor which generates 2860 pulses per revolution.

The LEDs are 9w RGBs (3w/channel) arranged in panels of 6 with 4 panels.
