IoT Guitar Recording Pedal - RiffNet

A WiFi enabled guitar pedal that allows you to record and auto uploads the tracks to the cloud for sharing, collaborations and edits.

Similar projects worth following

The idea is simple, make a guitar pedal that will record whatever sound you throw through it (In high quality) and send the tracks to the cloud via WiFi. Imagine jamming in your basement, you come up with a great riff and want to record it. Instead of hooking up mics or fishing for your phone you slam this pedal on, play what you want, slam it off and the track uploads automatically to a website. On the site you can download your recorded tracks, listen to them and share them with friends or band mates.

The pedal will have 20 hours of local memory recording time too. Let's say you play a show and want to record your entire set. With local memory you can record everything and once or multiple tracks up to 20 hours. Once the pedal is powered back on in a known wi-fi area it will auto upload as well.

For prototype purposes this will integrate with SoundCloud's API and use a Raspberry Pi for the logical processor to upload recordings to the cloud.

I’ll have a live stream at the end of this month to talk about the build. I’m on V3 now, since I’ve lacked in this project here I want to share it with everyone. I’ll post a link to the live stream.
