When I built my Direct Conversion receiver, I used an audio amp on hand. Then I killed it. Oops. I'd ordered some LM386's from Arrow but got the SOIC version. With the Circuit Sculpture contest going, I was inspired to not just break out the LM386 into something usable, but to do it in a creative way.

This is only the second thing I've ever built Manhattan style, and I really like the form factor. This project was also made possible because I recently purchased a rotary cutter set. Without that, the rounded Manhattan pads would not have been possible, and so that got a lot of use for this project.
