Commissioned by Taylor Group/Globacore to design and build a Spinning Wheel Display to demo regenerative braking for KIA at the Auto Show. The wheel's speed is controlled by an accelerator and brake pedal taken from a driving simulator for gaming. The pedals are read by an Arduino, which also reports the speed to PC-based emulator of the KIA Soul dashboard. When the wheel is accelerating or held constant, the on-screen battery is drained. When the wheel is coasting, or the brake is applied the battery is charged.
