Miniproject i did. Made a batch of 24 trophy sheld plates for a miniature sculpts. Made using fusion 360 and shoptbot alpha cnc. The trophy plate did not include any mounting holes as they where for general use and not a specific model. Made in 12mm valcromat (hdf wood).

Interesting material, I've never heard of it. What kind of finishing options does it give you? Is it a paint-grade finish like MDF?

So valcromat is a brand name for a coloured hdf. Hdf being the high density fiberboard version of mdf (medium density fiberboard). I haven't done any particular finnishing on my valcromat projects but I don't know of any challenges related to finnishing valcromat.
