Distributors are th life blood of almost any PRE ECU car - they take the engine speed and load data and provide the correct timing for the delivery of the spark to ignite the fuel/air mixture in the cyclinder at just the right time to allow the engine to produce as much power as posible and as efficiently as possible.

Unfortunately original distributors are wearing out and new aftremarket units have the wrong advance curve to allow for optimum performance of the engine. I propose to build a test jig to allow the parameters of a distributor to be accuratly mapped alowing for adjustments to be made to thedizy and monitor the effects.

Initial Parameters to me measured will be RPM of the distubutor and the advance in ignition timing for a given RPM.
