Fortune favours the bold.
I spent a lot of money purchasing and a hell of a lot of time getting a used HURCO KMB1 CNC milling machine to my workshop. Unfortunately the drives were shot to pieces and the motors removed so I did what any self righteous evil genius would do and make it work again.. but better... well that’s the idea. This project involves DMM servos 1kw each and completely overhauling a 30 year old mill well you can see the first steps in the time lapse video.
